Terms and Conditions

General

All of my tiaras are available in either silver or gold plated, with a choice of beads and crystals in colours to suit your needs. All tiaras are also suitable for bridesmaids or for communion and can be re-sized to meet your needs. I can also customise matching jewellery for each tiara design.

All jewellery comes beautifully presented in white gift boxes with the Tantrums and Tiaras logo. Tiara's also come in white gift boxes embossed with the Tantrums and Tiaras logo. The only exception to this is if the tiara you have ordered is too big for a conventional tiara box. If this is the case, you tiara will be dispatched to you by another protective means.

All jewellery pieces are either finished in 925 Sterling Silver unless otherwise stated. Please check the item descriptions for full details.

All tiaras are made from silver or gold plate, with Swarovski crystals, Swarovski pearls, faux pearls - the description of the tiara will advise which products have been used to create that particular design. However, the materials can be changed should you require it.

Payment Information

Paypal - I can accept payment via Paypal. Paypal accept all major credit and debit cards.  Paypal requires registration for 1st time users.

Cheques - I accept cheques however this must be done by prior arrangement with Tantrums and Tiaras by e-mailing me directly at enquiries@tantrumsandtiaras.org Please note that all cheques must be received within 7 days from the order date, or the order will be cancelled and this will affect your waiting time. Items will be despatched once the cheque has cleared. Cheques should be made payable to Tantrums and Tiaras.

Bank Transfer - I accept Bank Transfers as a payment however this must be done by prior arrangement with Tantrums and Tiaras by e-mailing us directly at enquiries@tantrumsandtiaras.org Please note that all transfers must be received within 7 days from the order date, or the order will be cancelled and this will affect your waiting time. Items will be despatched once the funds have cleared.

Cash on delivery - If you are willing to pick up the item directly from Princes Risborough, this can be arranged.

Delivery Timescales

All products in the collection are handmade to order. I will make every effort to ensure a delivery time of 7 days upon receipt of payment for jewellery and 14-21 days for tiaras. However, please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

Should you need your order urgently, then please contact me to see if a quicker turn around is possible.

If paying by cheque, this may add a few days to the delivery due to the time of clearance. You will be contacted shortly after placing your order with an estimated time of delivery.

Should you have a very tight deadline, please contact me and I may be able to accommodate urgent requests. Please note that timescales may be longer for bespoke items.

Delivery

The prices quoted for all products on this site include delivery charges for items within the UK (please see below for more information). All items over the value of £15 will be sent by Recorded Delivery.

Returns & Refunds

In the unlikely even that you are not completely satisfied with your products, please contact me within 2 days of receipt:

FOR ITEMS BOUGHT DIRECTLY FROM Tantrums and Tiaras - As all items are made to order I offer a full refund (Less 50% for labour costs as each piece is made to order + P&P) on goods returned in original condition and in original packaging within 7 days. I will not be able to accept any returns after the 7 day period.

Please note that no refunds will be given after your wedding date.

FOR ITEMS BOUGHT FROM STOCKIST - Please check with stockist when purchasing item.

Returning items

All items must be sent by recorded delivery. The fee for which will be refunded on return should the item be faulty or error by Tantrums and Tiaras. If the item is being returned for any other reason, the cost for returning the item will be payable by the purchaser.

If the above is not followed, and the item is then damaged or lost in the post, no refund will be given.

Due to hygiene reasons, I can not accept earrings back at all. If they are contained in a set, then the set can not be returned.

Refunds will not be given for bespoke items.

Refunds will not be given for customised goods, so please ensure colours and lengths are correct, as these items can't be resold (customised is if you choose different colours from the pictures, different lengths etc).

Refunds will not be given for used goods, or goods returned after your wedding. I have the right to refuse any items if I suspect that my returns policy is being abused.

All returns will be refunded within 30 days of receipt of the goods.


In the unlikely event that your item is received damaged, please contact me immediately so I can arrange return of the item.
I will then send a replacement and will reimburse you for the cost of the return postage

Handling of items

Untangle and untwist chains or links prior to putting them on.

Be gentle when handling your jewellery as the pieces are delicate and hand made, so you need to look after them carefully.

Don’t over-stretch the stretch bracelets. The elastic is strong but won’t cope if over stretched, so let us know if you need something slightly bigger, I’ll happily do what we can to extend any bracelet or necklace.

Tiaras are made with flexible components to allow for some movement whilst they are being fitted. This is to ensure your tiara looks perfect for you on the day. However, as I'm sure you will appreciate, wire will only go backwards and forwards so much before it inevitably gives up and snaps. Therefore, please avoid over handling of your tiara before the big day to help maintain it's shape and avoid breakages.

Tarnishing

Tarnishing or oxidising turns metal a different colour and makes it lose its shiny finish. All jewellery metal is prone to tarnishing when it comes into contact with the air. It is usually caused by perspiration and also exposure to oxygen in the air. Tarnishing is also accelerated with excessive handling, by people who have different levels of acidity in their skin and also the pieces that are coming into contact with cosmetics products. All T&T pieces come in a presentation box to help reduce the risk of tarnishing. Items should therefore as much as possible be kept in their original/similar packaging when not being worn. If your jewellery gets dirty, wipe over with clean, dust-free soft cloth.

Nickel

The most common cause of allergic reaction to jewellery is through contact with the metal Nickel. In fact as many as 10% of people are allergic to it. The European Union decided to control its use in an attempt to reduce the numbers of people who suffer from a reaction. The products used to form jewellery at Tantrums and Tiaras is bought from UK suppliers that have to comply with the European Union directive. Tantrums and Tiaras does not knowingly sell jewellery with harmful levels of Nickel in them.
