Welcome to Tantrums and Tiaras (“Tantrums and Tiaras” “It’s” “We” “Our” “Us” “The Seller”).  Purchases made from us will be done so either via TantrumsandTiaras.org (“The Site”) or in person at our studio or at any Wedding Fayre Location we are exhibiting at. These terms and conditions refer to purchase from The Site. Purchases from us through any other medium will be subject to separate terms and conditions.
Any person making a purchase from the Site will be asked to confirm they agree to our terms and conditions. By Ticking this confirmation “YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS  PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT”
When making payment via Paypal Express by pressing the make payment button you confirm you agree to our terms and conditions and again by agreeing to this “YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ  AND UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS  PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT”.

General Conditions
Purchase from us are limited to those who can lawfully enter into and form contracts under the Laws of England and Wales.
Only visitors to the Site who agree to our Terms and Conditions (“Participants” “Buyer” “You” “Your” as the context requires) when purchasing items may participate in buying on this site or from us.
Please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when purchasing. You can update us with changes to your details via e-mail or phone.
We reserve the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.

General Product Information
All tiaras are made using silver plated tarnish resistant wire and jewellery is finished in 925 Sterling Silver unless otherwise stated .  Item descriptions will describe which products have been used to create that particular design and may include use of diamantes, Swarovski Crystals and Pearls and freshwater pearls. Where freshwater pearls are used please note that they are entirely natural and as such are not perfectly round, exactly the same size as one another and can have slight colour variations. If you wish perfectly round, same sized and even coloured pearls please ensure you specify Swarovski Pearls.
All jewellery comes beautifully presented in Tantrums and Tiaras gift boxes/bags. The only exceptions to this are Hair Pins which are sent protectively packed unless in a quantity of 15+ pins are ordered where they will be sent in a gift box and Bespoke items which are too large for our gift boxes, In this case another protective form of dispatch will be used. Sample sale and reduced price items will be sent without gift packaging in an appropriate protective package.

Item Types
Our products fall within 3 categories Ready to wear or Bespoke and Other

Ready to Wear – Describes any ’standard’ item which is purchased from the Site as described and standard in dimension, bead type and sold as per the product description. 

Bespoke – Bespoke is any item which is made to your own specific design as agreed with you in either electronic communication or as described in any specific product description set up personally for you and purchased via the website. This may include specific colour crystals/pearl/bands used in a design, dependant on the need to source components and if they significantly change the structure or look of a design. Any Bespoke item purchased will be the commissioning of a service and as such subject to return conditions as stated within Returns and Refunds section. If you are in any doubt as to whether an item is a Bespoke piece then please do not hesitate to contact us. We will inform you when an item is Bespoke and therefore subject to specific terms of return.

Other – Any other type of item will be described as such within the product description, electronic communication or order form and any terms and conditions applied to these items will be published within said item description or within the order form.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Your relationship with us is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales

Electronic Communications
When you transact with us via the Site or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We communicate with you directly by e-mail or by posting notices on the Tantrumsandtiaras.org website. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

Events Beyond Our Control
We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to any statutory changes or rulings by any act or customs authority affecting the customs duty payable by you.

Postage and Packing Charges
For the purpose of Postage and Packing charges Overseas Delivery will be defined as to any location outside of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Domestic will be defined as within Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Postage to any Domestic location is included on any single order of £80.00. Delivery to any Domestic location for any single order under £80.00 within the United Kingdom will be subject to a postage and packing charge of £4.50. Free postage will not apply to any order in which a discount code has been used.
Delivery to any Domestic location will by default be made by Recorded Delivery. Hand delivery to domestic locations may be made by a representative of Tantrums and Tiaras dependent on Location but this is solely at the discretion of the seller.
Postage and Packing charges will be applied to ALL orders for delivery to any Overseas location at a rate of £12.50. All items posted to Overseas locations will be dispatched via Recorded Delivery equivalent and require a signature.
Any order which is requested as a ‘rush’ order will be subject to delivery charges which will be available on request and use of Royal Mail Special Delivery, Courier or other delivery method will be used. Only on receipt of communication from us confirming ‘rush’ order delivery will times quoted be in force.
You are also more than welcome to collect items from our Bicester studio but this is strictly by appointment only.

Delivery Times
Please note that Delivery Estimates are just that. They should not be relied upon as guaranteed delivery times.
The majority of our products are handmade to order. We will make every effort to dispatch items within 5-7 working days of payment funds being cleared. This should be noted especially when payment is made by cheque and as such add to delivery time. However during times of high demand (For example following any of The National Wedding Show’s) and where ‘Bespoke’ items are ordered dispatch timescales can be anything up to 6 weeks to take into account demand and ordering of specific materials. We will ask you to provide the date of your wedding or event in order to prioritise work. Again if you have any concerns over delivery please contact us prior to ordering.
We are open to enquires in respect of rush orders and will use delivery services as discussed within communication in respect of these orders.

Payment Information
No order will be dispatched or released until payment is completed. Where any bespoke item has been ordered no specialised components will be ordered or production begun before payment is completed.
Payment is accepted online via credit card (Service provided by Barclaycard Merchant Services and payment will be directed to their pages),  Paypal (When paying via Paypal Express and pressing the pay now button you accept the terms and conditions of this site), and NoChex.
Payment can also be made via Bank Transfer (BACS) and Cheque. Payment by either of these two methods must be received within 7 days of order or the order will be cancelled.
Cash on collection can be arranged at our Bicester studio but is strictly by appointment only.

Returns and Refunds for items bought directly from Tantrums and Tiaras

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your products, please contact us for a Returns Reference number. Tantrums and Tiaras are compliant with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 which provides a 14 working day no quibble guarantee on 'Ready to wear' collection. Your right to cancel the agreement ends 14 working days after receipt of the goods. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ‘Bespoke Items’ (ITEMS PERSONALISED TO CONSUMER SPECIFICATION) which will be dealt with as below.  

You have a duty to take reasonable care of any goods received, and we reserve the refuse  the return of items which have not been subject to this care.  Wearing an item may be breach of this duty. To protect hygeine, earrings are provided in sealed plastic bags, opening the sealed bag will render the item unsuitable for return unless faulty. 

This does not affect your statutory rights.

We reserve the right to refuse any items if we suspect that our returns policy is being abused.

Bespoke Items
These items are all made to order as described in the Item Types of our terms and conditions and by agreeing to purchase these items you are also commissioning a service. As such there we are unable to accept any returns of bespoke items that are not faulty or misdescribed. Please see the above definitions of types of items which describes what constitutes a bespoke item. We will inform you if any item made to your own specifications is a bespoke item and therefore subject to this non-return clause.

Refund and Return of items from Stockists
We will not accept returns directly of any items purchased through a stockist. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please check the terms and conditions of sale with your retailer.

Returning items
All items returned must be sent by recorded delivery to ensure safe receipt of items. The fee for which will be refunded on return should the item be faulty or our error. If the item is being returned for any other reason, the cost for returning the item will be payable by the purchaser. If you choose to return the item by any other method then risk of damage or loss lies solely with you.
All returns will be refunded within 14 days of receipt of the goods and payment will be made either via original payment method or by cheque or bank transfer. Payment method will be at our discretion and to the purchaser. Refund by way of bank transfer will be to account agreed by the purchaser.

In the unlikely event that your item is received damaged, please contact us immediately so we can arrange appropriate action.

Competition prizes

Where prizes are provided by Tantrums and Tiaras for the benefit of a third party, the terms and conditions of said prize must be adhered to.  In the absence of any such conditions, the general terms and conditions of Tantrums and Tiaras on competitions, gift vouchers and packages apply (see below).

Special Offers Limited to One Per Household

Where offers indicate one per household, this refers to both delivery address, the person/s ordering and in the spirit of the offer. Tantrums and Tiaras reserve the right to cancel any order purchased on a special offer basis if we believe that that any offers made on a limited basis are being abused.

Gift Vouchers/Packages

Where Gift Vouchers are purchased or offered up as a prize, the voucher is for use on standard jewellery and is not transferable to headpieces or bespoke jewellery.  

Where packages are offered for sale, the terms and conditions of each package must be adhered to.  Substitutions are not permitted.  If you are unsure of any of terms please contact us prior to purchase and we will be more than happy to help.

Care of your items
Handling of items
Untangle and untwist chains or links prior to putting them on.
Be gentle when handling your jewellery as the pieces are delicate and handmade, so you need to look after them carefully.
Don’t over-stretch the stretch bracelets. The elastic is strong but won’t cope if over stretched, so let us know if you need something slightly bigger, we will happily do what we can to extend any bracelet or necklace in line with our terms and conditions

Wired tiaras
Tiaras and some jewellery pieces are made with flexible components to allow for some movement whilst they are being fitted. This is to ensure your tiara looks perfect for you on the day. However, as I'm sure you will appreciate, wire will only go backwards and forwards so much before it inevitably gives up and snaps. Therefore, please avoid over handling of your tiara before the big day to help maintain it's shape and avoid breakages.

Tarnishing or oxidising turns metal a different colour and makes it lose its shiny finish. All jewellery metal is prone to tarnishing when it comes into contact with the air. It is usually caused by perspiration and also exposure to oxygen in the air. Tarnishing is also accelerated with excessive handling, by people who have different levels of acidity in their skin and also the pieces that are coming into contact with cosmetics products.  A tarnished product is not an indicator of quality, and it natural even with the most expensive of pieces!

Tantrums and Tiaras use only tarnish resistant wire in it's tiara and jewellery designs.  It should help your tiaras maintain their sparkle long after your big day.

All Tantrums and Tiaras pieces come in a presentation box to help reduce the risk of tarnishing. Items should therefore as much as possible be kept in their original/similar packaging when not being worn. If your jewellery gets dirty, wipe over with clean, dust-free soft cloth. 

The most common cause of allergic reaction to jewellery is through contact with the metal Nickel. In fact as many as 10% of people are allergic to it. The European Union decided to control its use in an attempt to reduce the numbers of people who suffer from a reaction. The products used to form jewellery at Tantrums and Tiaras is bought from UK suppliers that have to comply with the European Union directive. Tantrums and Tiaras therefore does not knowingly sell jewellery with harmful levels of Nickel in them.
